The Password Protect Directory feature allows you to place a password on one of your site's directories. Only users that you specify will be able to access this directory.
Steps login to your control panel first. Click here to see how.
1. Click on the "Password Protect Directories" link on the main screen of your control panel interface.
2. Click on the name of the directory that you wish to protect. (You can navigate to a directory by clicking on the icon next to it.)
3. When the new screen appears, click on the checkbox under "Allow access only to authorized users".
4. Type the name that you wish to appear in the login box for the directory in the blank field next to Protected Resource Name.
5. Place the name of a user you wish to be able to access the directory in the blank field next to Username:
6. Place the password for that user in the blank field next to Password: and click on the "Add/Modify authorized user" button.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary to add more users.
8. To delete a user, just select a username and click on the "Remove user's authorization" button.
