Yes, you are permitted to operate mailing lists as long as your subscribers are fully opt-in, your mailing activities are light and do not jeopardize our server's performance and stability.
There is a sending limit of one hundred(100) email recipients/messages per hour imposed on every hosting account by necessity to ensure that the flow of email into and out of our servers does not become bogged down by excessively large mailings. Here at Colosseum Online Inc., we push over a million messages daily via our mail servers and large scale of outgoing messages can slow down the flow substantially. This is a network-wide limit which is in force on all accounts equally and no exclusions or exemptions are possible.
If you have more than 100 subscribers, you must configure your mailing list software to send in batches of 80 outgoing messages per hour to ensure smooth delivery.
Important: While we allow you to operate mailing lists, this does not mean you can use your hosting account as a cheap substitute for a mass-mailing account that companies like Constant Contact are offering primarily.
